We are seeking a professional and energetic individual with excellent people skills to fill our Medical Scheduler position. This is a contract-to-hire position with the potential for permanent placement that includes Health and Dental Insurance and Paid Time Off. The candidate must have prior experience working in the family medicine field. Please submit resume and be prepared to interview in person.

salary: $15 - $18 per hour

shift: First

work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM

education: High School

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and procedures

• Includes rescheduling and canceling appointments

• Scheduling referral appointments

• Verifying patient's demographic information

• Confirming patient appointments

• Provide instructions to patients to ensure that they ar prepared for examinations and procedures

• Receiving incoming calls and taking messages if needed

• Verifying insurance details and informing patients of un-covered fees

• Explaining financial requirements and obligations to patients

• Entering payments into the system

• Prior experience working in a medical office is required

• Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurance plans

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Courteous telephone etiquette

• Proficient computer skills
