Position Title: Configuration Manager
Location: Huntsville, Alabama - Hybrid
Clearance: US citizenship andDHS public trust clearancerequired. This
position supports a government contract.
Position Overview:
We are currently looking for a Configuration Manager to join a contract with a federal government client in support of an important mission. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a great team while supporting the federal client.
This is a direct-hire, full-time position with salary and benefits. We

Responsibilities:
Configuration Management:
Implement and maintainConfiguration Management (CM) processesand procedures.
Ensure adherence to CM principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
Maintain version control and configuration baselines for software artifacts.
Audit Compliance:
Ensure compliance with audit requirements related to Configuration Management.
Conduct audits to verify adherence to CM processes and identify areas for improvement.
Scripting and Database Management:
Utilize scripting languages to automate CM tasks and streamline processes.
Write and understand SQL queries for database management and data manipulation tasks.
Software Building and Packaging:
Collaborate with development teams to understand software build requirements.
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of build scripts and pipelines.
Version Control and Repository Management:
Manage version control systems, with expertise inGitLaborGit.
Maintain repositories and branches, ensuring consistency and organization.
Cloud Technologies Integration:
Integrate CM processes with cloud technologies and infrastructure.
Ensure compatibility and optimization of CM practices within cloud environments.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree plus at least 3+ years of experience
Required Skills
Solid understanding of Configuration Management principles and practices.
Proficiency in scripting languages for automation purposes.
Ability to write and understandSQL queriesfor database management.
Basic understanding of software building processes.
Experience with GitLab or Git version control systems.
Knowledge of cloud technologies and their integration with CM practices.
Desired Skills
Experience in conducting audits related to Configuration Management.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools for continuous integration and delivery.
Understanding of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools such as Terraform.
Exposure to agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
