Position Description:

Radiance Technologies, a rapidly growing employee-owned company is seeking a Software Tactical Communications Engineer to support the Army Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office (RCCTO) Human Machine Integrated Formations (HMIF) Project Office (PO). The HMIF PO will collaboratively develop two complex HMIF formations, one integrated formation for an Armor BCT and one formation for an Infantry BCT within 27 months. The SW Tactical Communications Engineer

will ensure the HMIF common controller aligns with stakeholder requirements and supports development of a wired/wireless tactical network to ensure the HMIF prototypes maintain connectivity in a highly challenged RF environment. Supports development of a

smooth transition plan to onramp to a Program of Record office post prototype development.

The

SW Tactical Communications Engineer

is responsible for:

Successful Integration of HMIF Common Controller.

Leading

Controller Integration.

Work/interface with and support DOTm

LPF stakeholders across the HMI enterprise.

HMIF Common Controller interface requirements development, design, transition plan stakeholder coordination.

Advising, coordinating, scheduling, and remaining abreast of engineering and technical support activities applicable to the Common Controller sub-system development and capability integration.

Provides integrated, multi-disciplinary solution recommendations for resolution of technical problems.

Participates in the development and execution of test strategies.

Ascertains HMIF Common Controller Technology readiness Level.

Participate in Common Controller budgetary discussions.

Coordinates with all responsible users and sites on development of a robust HMIF network.

Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders.

Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for tactical communications.
