Hiring Traveling Generator Mechanics

Position: Traveling Mechanic

Contract Duration: Minimum 12 months

Compensation: $25.00/hr - $35.00/hr (based on experience/location) + per diem

Locations: Floresville, TX; Roosevelt, UT; Midland, TX

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Qualifications:

• Proven mechanical experience

• Expertise with diesel engines, generators, or compressors

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostics skills

• Electrical diagnostics proficiency

• Computer literacy for record-keeping

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Traveling Mechanic to join our team. The role involves:

• Assembling mechanical components

• Conducting diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues

• Designing and implementing maintenance plans for upgrades and replacements

• Maintaining detailed work logs and records of repairs and maintenance

• Managing inventory and ordering new parts as needed

• Performing equipment and machinery assessments to proactively identify potential issues

• Adhering to safety policies, standards, and procedures, and reporting incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions immediately

Work Site:

• Shop and Field positions available

• Candidates traveling from out of state will receive per diem on top of an hourly wage ($166 - $247 depending on state/location)

Work Environment:

• Typical 70-hour work period over 8 days when crossing state lines or driving

• Shop hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

• Field technicians are on call 24/7

• Overtime expected, with a maximum of 6 12 hour shifts
