TMAC Field Technician
Description
The TMAC Field Technician will serve as an educator and consultant to the local and Gulf Coast regional manufacturing industry under the mentorship of the TMAC program director. The new field staff's primary focus will be on the Texas Manufacturing Network (TMN) and Workforce Development. The field staff will be required to provide education, consulting, and coaching in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management Systems, and Lean Manufacturing best practices.

Duties:
Provides education, consulting, and coaching in Supply Chain Management, Quality Management Systems, and Lean Manufacturing best practices.
Under direction, independently conducts assessment, prepares proposals, and deploys implementation projects.
Presents technical sessions and promotional events (e.g., webinars, seminars, and conferences).
Demonstrates effective project execution, project results, and customer follow up on related projects.
Completes relevant training and certifications in support of the TMAC mission.
Proposes and sells clients on additional projects or services as needed to support their continuous improvement, and performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelors degree in STEM Manufacturing related field.
Minimum three years of related industry experience. We will accept graduate certificates from related fields in place of experience. One graduate certificate will be considered equal to six months experience.
Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production systems.
Skills in effective communication including presentations, technical writing and conveying information effectively.
Skills in analysis, research protocols, and documentation.
Desired:
Masters or PhD in STEM Manufacturing related field.
Five years related industry experience, plus customer service, project management, coaching, and product engineering/technology.
Lean and Six Sigma, APICS, and/or various quality systems certifications.
