We are seeking a Sr. Accountant to join our client's team in the manufacturing industry based in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will have the important responsibility of overseeing financial operations, managing complete accounting cycles, and ensuring accuracy in financial reporting. You will also be expected to collaborate with their Latin American entities, therefore proficiency in Spanish is required.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute full-cycle accounting processes, including maintaining the general ledger and performing reconciliations.

• Play a key role in month-end and year-end close procedures.

• Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.

• Prepare and coordinate financial statements such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements for the Latin American division.

• Act as the primary financial liaison between the corporate office and Latin American entities, fostering alignment on accounting policies and practices.

• Handle and manage intercompany transactions and consolidations for Latin American operations, ensuring prompt and accurate reporting.

• Utilize Oracle ERP software to maintain and optimize financial processes.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost-saving initiatives or improved efficiency.

• Assist in audits, regulatory filings, and compliance efforts for Latin American operations.

• Provide mentorship to entry-level accounting staff and collaborate with cross-functional teams on various projects.

• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance accounting operations and reporting accuracy.

Requirements • Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations

• Extensive experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Month End Close procedures

• Experience working with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP

• Understanding of Full Cycle Accounting

• Experience with Intercompany Accounting

• Ability to perform various types of Reconciliations

• Fluency in Spanish language is preferred

• Knowledge of Oracle ERP systems
