Job Summary:
In this role, you will help develop industrial relations training and orientation programs for employees and supervisors, such as on-boarding, work rule enforcement, and grievance procedures. You will assist with audits, input data for dues collections, and record meeting minutes. In addition to providing valuable support, you will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge of industrial relations. #LI-TH1
Major Responsibilities:
Level 1
Develops knowledge of practical application of labor laws, equal employment/affirmative action legislation and related government policies
Assists with the development of Industrial Relations training and orientation programs for manual employees and their supervisors, such as on-boarding, work rule enforcement, and grievance procedures for manual employees
Records and maintains meeting minutes for LR meetings
Assists in S/C audits for labor compliance
Inputs data for dues collections/affiliations
Level 2
Supports the development and presentation of Industrial Relations training and orientation programs for manual employees and their supervisors, such as on-boarding, work rule enforcement, and grievance procedures for manual employees
Assists with and keeps records on investigations about employee misconduct
Extracts information from labor union contracts and assists in the preparation of wage bulletins or wage trend studies
Supports S/C audits for labor compliance
Education and Experience Requirements:
Level 1
- Requires 2-4 years of related experience
Level 2
Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of related experience
Associate degree or related technical training preferred
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
