We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Lead Strategic Marketing Research Analyst to join the KBR GSUS Growth team. You will play an essential role in supporting our strategic and organic growth efforts by providing market research, competitive intelligence, and insightful analysis, to support KBR growth opportunities.

Your expertise in market research and competitive intelligence will inform strategic decision-makers, pursuit prioritization, and capture proposal activities, ultimately contributing to the execution of our long-term growth strategy.

Responsibilities:

Success in this position will be achieved through understanding GSUS Growth team needs, establishing and implementing research methodologies, providing analysis to identify key insights, and effectively communicating findings through developing actionable research deliverables.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders within Growth, Operations, and Functional teams for understanding research needs that support and enable business success through information-driven decisions.

  • Define research objectives that align with KBR, GSUS, and its Business Units’ goals and priorities.

  • Identify, develop, and implement research sources and methodologies, including online databases, government publications, industry reports, and competitor analysis tools.

  • Conduct market research, provide competitive intelligence, and create insightful analysis for KBR GSUS Growth team consumption, driving key insights for decision makers.

  • Conduct in-depth research on U.S. Government budgets, agencies, programs, and funding opportunities that align with our company's strategic priorities, key capabilities, and domain expertise.

  • Analyze the critical dimensions of markets, to include size, trends, competition, suppliers, landscape/environment, barriers, substitutes, M&A targets, and leverage industry forecasts for supporting strategy development and marketing strategy planning activities.

  • Generate comprehensive reports and presentations that tell the story, clearly communicating research findings, which enable decision-makers to move forward faster.

  • Collaborate with Growth teams to integrate analysis, research, and outcomes with products and services which provide customer intelligence, technology trends, and other stakeholder information.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated track record of collaborating with leadership to identify marketing opportunities and using research to drive strategy.

  • Experience with independently executing full-cycle strategic market research from design to analysis and communication of results.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Public Policy, or a related field. Master’s degree in related field preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in market research, marketing, or business development. Ideally within the Industrial sector, U.S. Government industry.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques. Including resources and databases such as GovWin, Bloomberg, and FPDS.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex data into clear and concise reports.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
