Honeywell Senior Advanced Applications/Systems Sales Engineer in Houston, Texas

As a Senior Application / System Sales Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's growth and success. You will lead a team of skilled sales engineers and collaborate with various departments to promote our complex applications and system solutions. Your responsibilities will include formulating and executing sales strategies, providing technical expertise, and building strong customer relationships.

This position is responsible to drive demand growth with effective sales support for Sheet Manufacturing & Gigafactories vertical and associated sub-segments in North America. The position is accountable for the vertical orders in the pole and includes the following job responsibilities:

  • Provides technical expertise through sales presentations & product demonstrations of the Gigafactory solutions portfolio.

  • Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of the portfolio to meet customer needs and preparing detailed and often complex solutions for the identified customer opportunities with a focus on business value and customer ROI

  • Demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid performance analysis for guarantees

  • Provide follow-up support to sales, estimation and project and service staff by disseminating technical information on specific applications

  • Support software and product development by submitting development candidates and business cases to the new product development process for the Projects and Automation Solutions line of business

  • Use your knowledge of the market trends and competitive landscape in your region to provide input to the strategic planning process

  • Conduct internal and external communication to disseminate technical information and promote thought leadership on specific applications.

  • Perform customer segmentation of the key sub-verticals in your region to ensure appropriately scoped solutions are pursued with the corresponding sales strategy.

  • Work with regional sales organization and growth leaders to support branch action planning, regional business plans, test and improve reviews and executive approval processes with market information.

  • Support development of new System Integrators and OEMs who can help grow the account base in underserved geographies and segments.

  • Proactively communicate to the broader vertical community on a regular basis, highlighting recent results, competitive information, key wins, and other information as would be beneficial to the wider HPS community.

  • Participate and help coordinate applicable Industry and company tradeshows and other customer events

  • Analyze and benchmark sales process in the assigned region and work with the sales managers to optimize the regional sales and delivery models.

  • Identify training & talent upgrading opportunities, build sales and marketing capability and capacity for the vertical.

YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Proven track record of success in sales engineering roles

  • Undergraduate or Technical Degree in Engineering or other similar field of study (MBA)

  • Experience in automation technology, MES, or metrology within an electrode manufacturing, films, calendaring coatings, or similar roll-to-roll industries

  • Strong technical background in application and systems engineering

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities

  • Well-versed in qualitative and quantitative market research methods

  • Excellent planning, execution, and project-management skills

  • Strong communication skills in English.

  • Proven capacity to be effective in a complex, global business environment

  • Must be proactive with a high degree of accountability for the business results.
