Process Engineer - Green Hydrogen

KBR Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) provides holistic and value-added solutions across the entire asset life cycle. These include world-class licensed process technologies, differentiated advisory services, deep technical domain expertise, energy transition solutions, high-end design capabilities, and smart solutions to optimize planned and operating assets.

KBR is seeking a Process Engineer with Project / FEED experience in Green Hydrogen projects and licensor technology evaluation. The applicant should have extensive expertise in hydrogen technology and insight into new technologies. You will be responsible for leading, providing technical input, assurance, and guidance to projects.

Functional job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for the study, design, and specification, and services related to Green Hydrogen Projects.

  • Licensor coordination, evaluation, and integration.

  • Acting as an Owner Engineer, reviewing FEED contractors design package.

  • Experience (functional and leadership) in PDP development and front-end process engineering activities is preferred

  • Responsible for heat and material balance, the development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, system design parameters, and design or rating of equipment and apparatus such as heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, etc.

  • Provides technical guidance to less experienced engineers

  • Plans, schedules, and conducts working requiring independent judgment and adaptation of engineering techniques

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering Required, Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering preferred

  • Minimum of ten plus (10+) years experience and an average of twenty plus (15+) years experience with significant experience in Green Hydrogen Projects.

  • Lead a functional area on projects, including having responsibility for the budget and schedule of the assigned project area

  • Experience reviewing FEED documentation, and acting as an Owners Engineer.

  • Experience leading small to large design groups
