Responsibilities

Provide radiation oncology treatments and high-quality patient care. Act as an essential member of the Cancer Service Team. Demonstrate the ability to operate all treatment and simulation equipment.

Job Title: Per Diem Radiation Therapist

Location: Main Campus, Bay Area Campus Bld. C Cancer Center, Fort Bend Campus, North Houston Campus

Department: Radiation Oncology

Job Type: Per Diem

Salary Range: $54.99 - $55.01 (Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.)

Qualifications

Education

Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

Graduated from accredited Radiation Therapy Program

Preferred: BS or AA degree

Experience

Required: Minimum of 3 years performing as Radiation Therapist

Preferred: Minimum of 1 years of experience using a True beam Linear Accelerator

License(s)

Required: Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technology Technologist

Licensed by the Department of Health as medical Radiological Technologist

Basic Life Support certification through American Heart Association

Preferred: N/A

Special Skills

Required: Clinical judgment and knowledge of radiation therapy, practices and safety

Must maintain and complete continuing education in applicable areas to ensure competency is maintained

Preferred: N/A

Other

Required: Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills

Basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook email

Flexibility of Work Schedule required
