Kelly Science & Clinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician for one of our clients, a water testing service company, located in southwest Houston.

The primary responsibility of this role is sample processing and preparation, with tasks including filtering, centrifuging, and other related activities. This position will involve working with specialized instrumentation, particularly in the area of quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) testing.

Responsibilities:

• Perform sample processing and preparation according to established protocols and procedures.

• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including centrifuges and filtration systems.

• Conduct qPCR testing and assist with related tasks as needed.

• Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and equipment maintenance.

• Follow safety guidelines and ensure compliance with laboratory regulations and protocols.

• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field.

• Prior experience with laboratory techniques and procedures preferred but not required.

• Familiarity with qPCR instrumentation and testing methods is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
