This position is responsible for performing a variety of routine laboratory tests in support of production.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform QA/QC on all samples for incoming waste
Log all results into computer data base and/or logbooks
Notify Laboratory Manager and Operations Manager of off specification containers
Maintain all lab equipment
Make suggestions to Laboratory Manager on methods to improve laboratory flow and quality
Operate the lab in a safe and efficient manner
Aid the Laboratory Manager with inventory control of supplies
Continually grow knowledge of laboratory information and expertise
Properly log and perform all checks, standards and calibrations
Occasional over-time and weekend work
Use of company-provided personal protective equipment is required
Perform other reasonably related tasks as assigned by management
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED
1+ years’ experience in a laboratory setting
Preferred Qualifications:
2 or more years of prior laboratory experience
40-hour HAZWOPER training
Experience with basic lab techniques and calculations
Knowledge of Gas Chromatography and/or ICP-OES
Knowledge of chemical compatibilities
