Job Description

A client is seeking a skilled Firewall Engineer specializing in Palo Alto solutions to design, implement, and manage firewall solutions in both on-premise and cloud environments. The ideal candidate will ensure optimal configuration and integration to meet organizational security requirements and provide part-time project support.

Day-to-Day Activities

 Design and implement Palo Alto Firewall solutions.

 Maintain and update firewall configurations.

 Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.

 Develop and enforce security policies.

 Provide support and updates to stakeholders.

 Ensure compliance with security standards.

 Manage secure remote access for users.

 Perform routine system updates and patches.

Network Protocols / Firewalls:

 Design, implement, and manage Palo Alto Firewall solutions in on-premise environments.

 Ensure optimal configuration and integration to meet organizational security requirements.

 Oversee the ongoing maintenance and operational integrity of Palo Alto firewalls.

 Implement routine updates and patches to ensure system security and performance.

 Develop and implement security policies, rules, and objects within Palo Alto firewalls.

 Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory security standards.

 Manage and troubleshoot the Palo Alto GlobalProtect environment to ensure secure remote access for users.

 Address and resolve connectivity and performance issues promptly.

 Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security challenges.

 Employ analytical skills to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

 Lead and facilitate clear communication with the team and stakeholders.

 Provide regular updates and feedback to ensure alignment and progress on network security initiatives.

Skills and Requirements

5+ years of experience in firewall engineering.

 Proven hands-on experience in Palo Alto solutions.

 Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

 Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

 Experience in managing large-scale enterprise networks.

 Familiarity with additional network security tools and technologies. Certifications such as Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). null
