Job Summary:

As a member of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS) Leadership Team, located in Houston, TX, this role is the primary interface between the deployed functional Material Management and Construction employees and the DSCS team. The successful candidate will take ownership of the DSCS functional process and system execution of warehousing, receiving, inventory and withdrawal and work very closely with the supply chain, engineering and construction functions within the global business units and projects.

This role is responsible for taking key messages regarding new ways of working that connect the DSCS tool, the Supply Chain Integrated Work Process and Procedure, all other Supply Chain governance and communicating them pro-actively with employees and managers. The holder of this role must also champion the objectives of the DSCS and bring feedback to DSCS project leadership, from the user community.

The holder of this position will oversee the activities needed to fully achieve successful system adoption and execution, including creation and updating of manuals, procedures, policies, training materials, etc. in conjunction with other resources.

This position is a full-time position and is designated as part-time telework (hybrid) per our global telework policy and will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor, in consultation with functional or project leadership. #LI-HB1 #LI-Hybrid

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Supply Chain Application (Sitesense) as an integral part of the Digital Supply Chain System (DSCS)

  • Coordinate with US based and Global team members in respect to Sitesense development, support, and deployment activities, including:

  • Training all Enterprise, GBU and Project users

  • Supporting Project Set Up and coordinating with EPC counterparts

  • Managing oversight of application performance, monitoring and performing healthcheck assessments to ensure projects are executing as expected

  • Collaborate with GBU Implementation Managers for the successful execution of Global Business Units (GBUs) and Project deployment and configuration

  • Drive and implement standard processes of Supply Chain

  • Support Sitesense as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Application Owner

  • Ensure integrity of Supply Chain management on projects

  • Monitor project usage of Sitesense to identify and resolve issues early and ensure project is using application correctly and effectively.

  • Actively coordinate with other DSCS Product Owner SMEs

  • Manage Sitesense application integration standards and procedures in conjunction with DSCS and EPC systems automation application owners

  • Responsible for the maintenance, preparation and publication of appropriate documentation, “train the trainer” training materials and education of GBUs and Projects.

  • Think critically and maintain a “can do” attitude in fast paced and highly variable environment

  • Participate in testing new versions, upgrades, bugs, and enhancements of Sitesense application

  • Gain understanding of all aspects of change involved with the DSCS tools through partnership with sponsors,managers, leads and project team members

  • Determine organization and job impacts for the Supply Chain, Engineering and Construction functions and incorporate feedback from project deployed personnel to determine and execute industry best practices

  • Deliver updated Supply Chain work process and procedures

  • Develop leadership action plans

  • Report risks and issues that may impact the success of change to the appropriate level in the organization

  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience Requirements:

Level I:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration and a minimum of 5 years of experience; 9 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree

  • Working knowledge of Engineering/Construction industry supply chain practices and Bechtel policies, procedures and work processes

  • Must be able to communicate about technical issues

  • Collaborative and consultative work style

  • Expert Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong planning, prioritization and organization skills

  • Excellent English language communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Customer-service oriented individual with a demonstrated professional demeanor and communication style

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including early mornings, late nights and weekend

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Level II:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management/Business Administration and a minimum of 8 years of experience; 12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree

  • Working knowledge of Engineering/Construction industry supply chain practices and Bechtel policies, procedures and work processes

  • Must be able to communicate about technical issues

  • Collaborative and consultative work style

  • Expert Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong planning, prioritization and organization skills

  • Excellent English language communication skills (verbal and written)

  • Customer-service oriented individual with a demonstrated professional demeanor and communication style

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, including early mornings, late nights and weekend

  • Must have legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

  • Experience with Bechtel process execution including project assignments with strong background in Supply Chain

  • Basic knowledge in Database technology

  • Experience with MS SharePoint, MS Teams and Bechtel Standard automation systems is beneficial

  • Current experience in customer problem solving and end-user support is beneficial

  • Knowledge of Bechtel supply chain systems and practices is highly desirable

  • Exposed to or trained in Six Sigma disciplined, data-driven approach and methodology is desirable

  • Capable of applying good judgment in a matrixed and complex organizational structure

  • Proficiency with the Bechtel Leadership Model
