Summary:
The Automation and Drives Specialist Division SME is responsible for providing technical expertise, sales support, and application solutions for automation, motor control, and drive systems. This role involves working with customers, sales teams, and manufacturers to specify, troubleshoot, and optimize automation and drive products for industrial applications.

Preferred Qualifications:
Industry-specific experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience with industrial automation, VFDs, PLC programming, and motor control systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot automation and drive-related issues.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with industry standards and safety regulations related to automation and drives.
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment and various warehouse locations and conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.
This role will be a hybrid of travel, remote, and in office work.

Essential Job Functions:
Provide technical support and application guidance for variable frequency drives (VFDs), PLCs, motor controls, and automation systems.
Assist sales teams and customers in selecting the right automation and drive solutions to meet application requirements.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with drive and automation systems, providing solutions and recommendations.
Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions for internal teams and customers.
Stay up to date with industry trends, new products, and advancements in automation and drive technologies.
Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to develop customized solutions for customers.
Support project implementation and integration of automation systems with existing infrastructure.
• Lead and direct pricing strategy formulation and take necessary pricing actions to enhance profitability, ensuring integrity and accuracy in all pricing matters.
• Assist with pricing negotiations of customers’ proposals.
• Prepare clearly SPA’s (Special Pricing Agreements)
• Conduct oral presentations, field research, and cost revisions. This also requires thinking about the going rates for similar products in the industry, in order to remain competitive.
• Perform financial evaluation to assess pricing action effectiveness.
• Define new business procedures, evaluate resource requirements, and stimulate implementation or maintenance of the pricing system.
• Manage total pricing procedure, enhance processes to make most of efficiencies, and ensure timely response to market conditions.
• Perform partnering with buyers, product managers, and sales department to ensure an integrated profit-maximizing approach to the market.
