Job Description
David Weekley Homes is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Information Technology to lead the organization’s technology strategy, manage IT resources, and ensure the effective deployment of information systems to support business goals. This position will be responsible for I&O functions, including ITSM, of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in team member development, strategic planning, project management, and leadership. This position is a full-time, on-site role.
Responsibilities:
Mentor and develop IT staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Stay abreast of the latest technology trends and innovations in the field of IT.
Develop and implement IT strategies that align with the organization’s objectives.
Oversee the maintenance and upgrade of existing IT systems and infrastructure.
Evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure to improve efficiency and support the growth of the organization.
Oversee IT projects from conception to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
Coordinate with other IS team leaders (App Dev and Data Analytics) and external stakeholders to ensure IT projects align with business needs.
Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in IT investments.
Negotiate with vendors and service providers to secure cost-effective technology solutions.
Implement and monitor security protocols to protect organizational data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Regularly review and update disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in IT management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure.
Excellent people development, organizational, and leadership skills.
Strong project management and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Significant experience with Microsoft and Cisco environments preferred.
