Robert Half Customer Service Representative in Houston, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Customer Service/Data Entry Representative in Houston, Texas. This role is primarily centered around customer service and data entry tasks within the telecom industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for order processing, shipping related tasks, record keeping, customer service, and inventory control.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately receive, verify, and input customer orders into accounting software

• Provide freight quotations to customers and create Bill of Lading documents for outgoing shipments

• Maintain an organized daily filing system for inventory and customer related documents both electronically and on company cloud

• Consistently communicate with customers via phone and email, providing information, answering queries, receiving purchase orders, and taking messages in a professional manner

• Work closely with the Operations Manager and warehouse personnel to provide real-time updates on inventory levels

• Verify that clients are within their credit terms and confirm receipt and availability with customers

• Inform customers of quoted freight charges and estimated delivery date for their orders

• Communicate efficiently with warehouse staff regarding orders

• Maintain accurate customer credit records and resolve customer credit inquiries

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments. Requirements • Proficient in answering inbound calls and handling inbound outbound calls effectively.

• Proven experience in a call center customer service role.

• Capable of providing high-quality customer service.

• Proficient in data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy.

• Ability to manage email correspondence professionally.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.

• Experience in order entry process management.

• Capable of scheduling appointments efficiently and accurately.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle difficult customer situations.

• Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
