Siemens Energy Business Development Manager, Reciprocating Compression in Houston, Texas

Are you a motivated professional passionate about entrepreneurship, data-analysis, and customer-centric problem-solving? If so, we're looking for someone like you to join our organization as a Business Development Manager focusing on the reciprocating compressor market in North America! In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of partners to identify market needs, develop solutions that meet those needs, and help craft profitable businesses and products.

The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven understanding of market trends, data analysis, and business development strategies. They'll be able to analyze data from multiple sources and identify patterns that help advise product and business decisions. They'll be an entrepreneur at heart, with a creative approach and a passion and desire for innovation!

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Drive the reciprocating compressor business development activity in North America

  • Map current North American activity to identify new and existing customers within the traditional market as well as the energy transition market.

  • Present roadmap and define cases in order for leadership to make forward looking business decisions for both the new equipment and service organizations

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs and trends and use this information to inform business and product development strategies.

  • Develop and implement market segmentation strategies to target specific customer groups.

  • Analyze market and sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new product offerings and improve existing ones.

  • Develop, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, vendors, and strategic partners.

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities that align with company objectives.

  • Evaluate the efficiency of current marketing strategies and make recommendations for improvement.

  • Stay up to date on industry trends, new innovative technologies, and standard processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or other relevant fields

  • 10+ years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably in customer-facing roles

  • Strong understanding of the reciprocating market in North America and the various channels to market

  • Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to use data and data analysis to problem solve and assist in business decisions.

  • Entrepreneurial mentality with a passion for innovation and creativity

  • A clear understanding of how to craft profitable products and businesses with a customer-centric mindset.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Self-motivated individual with the capability to work autonomously and efficiently prioritize tasks.

  • You have international experience working abroad and with different cultures and can communicate with global team members and customers.

  • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
