Jennie Stuart Medical Center, Inc. Managed Care Supervisor -Full Time in Hopkinsville, Kentucky

Oversees the output and quality of all managed care functions. This position manages and monitors the performance of all managed care staff, This individual will also work interdependently with other revenue cycle departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Tracks and follows up on provider onboarding processes

Supervises managed care staff in the completion of all essential functions. Submits timesheets and employee evaluations for managed care staff.

Monitors quality and productivity levels for both individual staff members and the team as a whole

Performs ongoing database maintenance for accuracy and completeness

Safeguards the integrity of privileged information and credential files in a professional, sensitive manner

Identifies and re-trains underperforming staff members as needed

Measures and compares key performance indicators; helps plan initiatives to increase performance as needed

Ensures timely communication of issues and their resolution to relevant parties

Screens potential job candidates and leads the orientation and training process for newly hired staff

Analyzes data and prepares reports on collections performance, governmental and commercial payer reimbursement, etc. as required and/or requested

Stays informed on current payer contracts, rules, regulation changes, and other sources of impact and informs revenue cycle team of any changes

Serves as a resource for staff/patient questions

Troubleshoots and resolves any technological or process issues encountered throughout daily activities

Regularly reports on any areas for improvement identified within business office procedures and enacts any upper-level recommendations quickly

Manages Financial Assistance Policy and related policies for Jennie Stuart Medical Center

Responsible for various Revenue Cycle regulatory compliance functions

Required Skills Required Skills

Demonstrates understanding of all business functions and practices of revenue cycle

Familiarity with business and medical terminology, billing codes and coding systems

Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to apply toward high -priority assignments in order to meet established deadlines

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, especially in potentially sensitive/difficult situations

Ability to work as part of a team and independently

Required Experience Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree required; business and computer classes preferred.

Minimum Work Experience

2-5 years managed care or related healthcare experience required.
