Objective of Job:

Candidate will install, dismantle, repair, and reassemble machinery. Work can require working on pumps, compressors, conveyors, hydraulics, various air lines, truck dumps, welding and fabricating, and any other assigned tasks as needed to help assist with maintaining plant production goals.

Job Duties:

  • Must be able to read and understand technical blueprints on machinery.
  • Willing to work in various conditions such as (wet/dry, clean/dirty, and inclement weather based on seasons working inside & outside.
  • Will use a variety of hand tools, such as hammers and levels, as well as equipment for welding, brazing, and cutting.
  • Needs to have strong mechanical aptitude, at least (5) years of experience in the trade.
  • Cuts materials using proper tools and efficient at positioning parts in jigs and using tools to insure fit.
  • Willingness to perform other duties as assigned or required by the Shift Leader, Supervisor, or Manager

Must be familiar with the following:

  • Pellet Mill Set Up and Maintenance.
  • Roll Replacement, Adjustment Die Replacement, Adjustment and other.
  • Mechanical Drive Replacement and/or Repair (Belt Drives, Chain Drives, Gear Box, Drives Spur, Gear Drives, and others).
  • Material Handling Equipment Repair. (Screw Conveyors, Belt Conveyors, Bucket Elevators, Drag Conveyors, and other).
  • Pneumatic Systems Replacement and/or Repair (Solenoid Valves, Actuators, Air Compressors, Blowers/Fans, and others).
  • Hydraulic Equipment Replacement and/or Repair (Pumps, Solenoid Valves, Actuators, and others).
  • Will require Welding and Cutting depending on project work or equipment repairs.
  • Knowledgeable with shaft and belt alignment as well as using torque wrench and laser alignment tools.
