Vermont Employer Member Services Representative-Credit Union Teller in Hooksett, New Hampshire

This is a retail service position that provides World Class Member Service to both credit union members and employees. We are looking for an individual who will serve members promptly while representing the credit union in a friendly, courteous and professional manner.

Starting Salary:\$16.00/hr. and up

Schedule:Full time schedule 40+ hours per week Monday - Friday.

We are looking for a motivated, friendly, professional candidate who has the ability to work full time hours. This position works exclusively in branch, with a primary branch, and requires travel for training purposes and to assist at other branches as needed.

Essential Functions and Basic Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome members in a friendly, professional, and timely manner to provide prompt, accurate, and efficient member service
  • Maintain robust knowledge of services offered by the credit union to educate members and actively make recommendations to members for their benefit
  • Maintaining privacy and confidentiality of members information
  • Complete routine cash and check transactions including but not limited to cashing and depositing checks, transferring money between members accounts, completing deposits and withdrawals of cash.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on applicable policies and procedures, and rules and regulations to meet compliance standards
  • Maintain a balanced cash drawer and assist in balancing the vault and ATM/ITMs as requested
  • Remain vigilant to possible fraud and safety concerns for the credit union, members, and employees
  • Opening accounts
  • Ordering debit cards
  • Assisting members with name changes

Required Education and Job Competencies

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work cohesively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to utilize various computer systems
  • Attention to detail when handling cash, documents and information
  • Previous customer service and cash handling experience (preferred)

Working Conditions/Environment:

This position requires standing for long periods of time and working primarily at a workstation or desk in an open office environment. Daily tasks include extensive use of a computer performing standard keyboard functions, requiring repeated motion. Stretching breaks are recommended to avoid injury. Some light lifting. Occasional lifting/carrying of bags of coin up to 50 lbs.
