The Plastics Manufacturing Associateis responsible for accurately measuring, cutting, routing, and finishing orders according to sales order specifications.
This position produces quality and accurate work using correct/specific/intentional materials and delivering orders with no scratches or chips/without imperfections via safe use of all equipment/machinery and knowledge of company products and their uses. All Min Plastics employees are responsible for delivering the best customer experience possible.
Immediate start preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Demonstrates knowledge of products and product uses.
- Utilizes layouts to select suitable sheet sizes that are order appropriate and produce the best yield. Returns usable material and scrap to appropriate bins.
- Meets deadlines specific to each sales order or supervisors direction.
- Ability to remain organized and juggle multiple jobs simultaneously and efficiently.
- Demonstrates competent and safe work habits while operating equipment and machines.
- Perform equipment maintenance, cleaning or oiling as recommended by manufacturer requirements; keep management informed of all issues or problems.
- Able to work without active management intervention or outside reminders. Requires minimal supervision/task management/ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Occasional:inventory management, including and not limited to, reorganizing bins, stocking inventory, monitoring levels of inventory and/or counting stock; reports problems and perform simple equipment maintenance.
- Frequent:customer load up, preparing orders for mailing/shipping, receiving and unloading deliveries, stocking materials and operating forklift; maintains organization and cleanliness of equipment, stock bins and warehouse areas.
- Constant:willingness to help co-workers; uphold a professional, patient and attentive demeanor; actively listen to others needs; willingness to go the extra mile to deliver exceptional service; takes initiative, demonstrates wise decision-making and dynamic problem-solving abilities; seeks out and analyzes necessary information/resources to propose solution and/or ideas; thinks and acts dynamically.
COMMUNICATION DEMANDS:
- Communicates effectively (verbal and written) with co-workers and managers.
- Informs management when supplies and/or inventory are low.
- Ability to read and understand orders and forms independently, ask for clarifications as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequently standing and walking in a warehouse setting.
- Consistently working according to company guidelines.
- Multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Ability to measure accurately.
- Basic math elementary proficiency (conversions - fraction to decimals).
- Experience operating woodworking machines (saws, routers, drills, jointers, etc.).
- Experience operating forklifts/pallet jacks preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English (elementary proficiency).
- On-site training provided.
WORKING CONDITIONS:Warehouse environment with noise levels moderate to high.
WORK HOURS:Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, no weekends.

Pay: $15.50 - $30.00 per hour
