Overview of the Role :

Nuveen’s Global Client Group team covering Greater China is seeking an Analyst to support our growing client base out of the Hong Kong office. The successful candidate would focus on supporting new and existing client relationships cross the Greater China region.

The firm will support the successful candidate development with training in product knowledge, ,sales support, relationship management and other key skills.

Key responsibilities :

  • Provide dedicated sales support to Greater China distribution team with attracting new clients and maintaining existing client relationships.

  • Support the full sales process, including the preparation of presentation materials, RFPs, CRM entries and client inquiries across Nuveen (and affiliates) products and client types.

  • Assist with regional business plans and other ad-hoc business management tasks as required.

  • Provide general administrative support to distribution team including meeting logistics, preparation notes and post-meeting notes.

  • Assist in market research projects necessary to support the development of Nuveen’s footprint in the region. Research projects include market landscape, clients plans and peer analysis.

  • Assist with organizing various brand building events and seminars for Nuveen.

  • Build strong relationships across all functions within the business including front office, legal, risk, compliance, operations, finance and IT.

  • This role will receive a wide range of questions, comments and data requests. The analyst is expected to provide support to client inquiries in a timely manner. For inquiries that cannot be answered locally then the analyst needs to reach out to relevant senior staff and/or global colleagues to help coordinate a response. In some cases, the answer, reply or comment may require translation.

Qualifications & Experience Required :

  • University Degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics or related field.

  • Relevant internship or full time experience in asset management or investment banking.

  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.

  • Experience working with Salesforce is desirable.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, with confidence in presenting to senior team members and internal stakeholders.

  • Team player and self-motivated individual with the ability to take accountability to ensure team outcomes are achieved.

  • Basic understanding of financial markets, investment vehicles and regulatory landscape.

  • Completion of HKSI Paper 1 is preferred but not mandatory.

  • Excellent communications skills (both written and oral) in English. Fluent in another Asian language e.g. Cantonese/Mandarin is desirable.
