Position Summary

The Parker Precision Fluidics (PPF) Division Demand Planner generates a consensus demand plan that forecasts market opportunity while understanding supply chain capability. The Demand Planner engages with customer service, sales and marketing to understand customer demand signals, model demand drivers and ensure demand information is readily available for supply chain decision making. This position engages with new product development teams to refine and document demand expectations and coordinate with supply planning and procurement to ensure effective product launches. The position also plays a key role in the driving the Division S&OP process. This person is a well-rounded individual who exhibits strong analytical, communication and leadership skills. They can quickly identify deviations from expected results and other disruptions and can promptly resolve issues. This is a highly visible position responsible for continuing the advancement of Demand Planning maturity at PPF.

Responsibilities

· Leads the creation of demand planning processes and tools for the Division

· Executes the monthly Demand Planning process and weekly exception management review to increase the demand predictability to optimize the supply chain cost

· Utilize multiple methods to generate a consensus demand plan used for supply planning decision making

· Perform in-depth analysis of large amounts of data to make decisions

· Lead monthly demand review meeting as part of Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process

· Conduct root cause analysis of key forecast misses and take actions to drive continuous improvement

· Lead demand planning improvement projects

· Achieve established demand forecast accuracy goals and communicate demand variability expectations for supply chain design decisions

· Participate in product portfolio reviews, including planning of product obsolescence

Qualifications

· BS in Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or Business disciplines required; MBA preferred

· 2+ years related experience

· Knowledge in using any forecasting tool, Logility preferred

· Understanding of different statistical time series methods

· Knowledge of how Demand Planning impacts to Supply Chain activities

· Strong analytical problem-solving skills

· Well organized and strong attention to detail

· Ability to work within high-performing teams in highly collaborative environments.

· Demonstrated ability to accept new ideas, engage in creative, innovative and systemic thinking to develop unique, differentiated solutions to complex problems

· Ability to listen, influence others, manage change and effectively motivate through open communication

· Excellent verbal and written English communication skills

· Ability to prioritize critical issues and display the initiative and flexibility in dealing with them
