Title: Manager, Vision Systems

Reports to: Vision Systems Senior Manager

Summary:

As the Manager of Vision Systems, you will lead prevention of quality issue in advance and maximize output (yield, OEE) through the establishment of inspection system, management of inspection equipment maintenance, improvement of inspection equipment performance, and the introduction of new equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and manage the inspection machine standards revision, PFD, BM/PM/PD Manual

  • Ensure compliance with health/safety/environmental/ fire regulations

  • Review/plan of inspection machine model development and model change

  • Analyze system breakdown or failure in order to improve false kick out rate and determine route cause; identify and implementing required improvements

  • Communicate schedule to production teams, HQ, and vendor regarding installation of vision system equipment

  • Communicate with vendor support with programing for vision systems, they have the source code for these programs

  • Review daily production reports on improvements and KPIs which is distributed to production teams and HQ (10% of time spent on this responsibility)

  • Develop technician skill and improvement plan and implement

  • Coach and provide support to engineers

  • Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas

  • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

  • Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

  • Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or MS preferred, or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

  • 7 to 10+ years of experience in manufacturing

  • 3 to 6+ years of experience leading and managing multiple processes

Skills:

  • Comfort around higher management

  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and make sound decisions

  • Effective workflow and process management

  • Planning skills and effective communication of priorities

  • Delegation and directing teams to meet goals

  • Facilities/Equipment related knowledge

  • TPM and PM knowledge

  • Six Sigma knowledge

  • Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support entire production team
