GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under the guidance of the Director of Technical Support, the Inventory Clerk is responsible for the management of the Technology Advancement and Support (TAS) equipment and inventory. This position receives, stores and distributes computer equipment and supplies within the warehouse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all job functions. This role is responsible to manage, monitor, and maintain inventory; process requests and returns; re-stock to ensure adequate inventory; and identify and report discrepancies. This position receives deliveries, inspects items, stocks items, takes physical inventory, updates inventory tracking system, and issues equipment and supplies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Standard Expectations:

  • Maintain accurate documentation of TAS equipment, hardware, and software inventory, including procurement, deployment, and disposition records.
  • Assist in the procurement process including generating purchase orders, verifying received items, and updating inventory accordingly.
  • Assign unique identifiers to TAS assets, update asset management systems, and coordinate the deployment and distribution of equipment.

  • Document inventory management processes and review procedures to ensure consistency and accuracy in inventory handling.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify optimization opportunities and support strategic decision-
  • Receive, pick up, deliver and return stock orders on a timely
  • Deliver and shelf stock and non-stock supplies and equipment in a neat, orderly
  • Utilize TAS inventory software for efficient inventory control and storage coordination.
  • Conduct stock counts, receive and process incoming stock accurately, and label and organize inventory in the warehouse for efficient access.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively, including preparing orders for shipment and handling returns and exchanges.
  • Conduct routine audits of inventory to identify and resolve discrepancies, and monitor inventory for signs of theft or damage, implementing appropriate loss prevention measures.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory management
  • Keeps the storeroom, staging and dock areas clean and orderly at all times
  • Participate actively in cross-disciplinary support initiatives within the TAS
