About SAP Labs Network and SAP Labs Vietnam

SAP Labs Network is the global R&D setup where over 55,000 engineers around the world create, operate and support the most innovative enterprise solutions for SAPs customers worldwide. SAP Labs Vietnam aims to become one of the key locations within the SAP Labs Network to support the engineering growth for SAP.

What you'll do

Reporting into the MD for the Labs, and supporting the Operations Manager, the requirement is to have a responsible hands on person who will be responsible for supporting the plan to ramp up Labs. A committed individual, this person will need to liaise between multiple stakeholders from HR, Finance, Facilities, Legal, IT and other teams, ensuring the smooth alignment between the different stakeholders within SAP at the execution level.

Externally, this person will need to support the negotiation and discussions with external parties, providing key local insights which will make Labs Vietnam a best place to work in the technology sector. In addition, this person will work with the Employee and Ecosystem Manager to ensure the smooth execution of employee related events at SAP Labs Vietnam.

Supporting the execution plan with the other employees on location, the person will need to ensure that new ideas are assessed, incorporated into an operational plan with regular reporting to outline progress, as well as highlight key hurdles and issues that need resolution with global teams. Objectively, the person needs to be able to foresee key issues and provide an execution plan that mitigates key risks on-site.

What you bring

• Assist the SAP Labs MD and the Operations Manager to operationalise the Labs as a fully functional part of SAPs development setup

• Coordinate with facilities, IT, legal, HR and Finance teams to ensure a smooth running of the Labs in Vietnam

• Support the execution of employee engagement activities

• Hands on attitude, and can do mindset is a must.

• Support internal and external events, in some cases lead the project execution.

• Liaise with the local employee engagement team to cultivate a strong sense of purpose within the team, ensure high participation in employee events

• Developing collaborative work relationships within own team and cross-functional teams

• Supporting internal projects, initially learning from other Labs but ultimately developing best in class practices for the location

• Some knowledge about the local operational regulatory environment, able to provide inputs to the MD and global teams on how to navigate complex topics around the regulatory environment

• Maintains the highest standards on work ethics and compliance to SAPs employee code of conduct

• Ambassador for SAP in the local market

Experience Requirements

• Proven similar/Project management role in and experience in establishing operational excellence in a tech company, preferably in a top tier Tech multinational is key to success in this role

• Demonstrated ability to manage complex topics in a matrixed global organisation

• Project management and business skills with in managing key projects around office and team requirements with tight deadlines

• Ability to managing key topics around office and team requirements and expectations for individuals on the ground

• Strong employee focus and demonstrated acumen to cultivate and develop lasting employee relations

• Demonstrated several years experience with increasing amount of responsibility

• Driven, creative and enthusiastic individual committed to growing the location and making the office a lighthouse for employees

Communication Requirements

• Builds and maintains partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

• Contributes actively to build common ground for cooperation

• Communicates clear and conveying processes & policies in a way that others can understand

• Communicates relevant messages in a timely manner and with constructive feedback to cross functional colleagues & managers

• Able to resolve conflict and progress key initiatives

Experience & Language Requirements

• Fluent bi-lingual in Vietnamese and English is a must (spoken and written)

• 7 years of experience in employee engagement and demonstrated proficiency with project management. Candidates with an advanced business degree but with lower experience will also be considered.

• Excellent presentation skills, able to represent the topics to an international group of stakeholders

• German language is a plus

• Shortlisted candidates will be asked to make a formal in person presentation in English to a panel for 15 mins to assess fit and suitability to the role.

Education

• Relevant University degree is a must, Masters or PhD preferred
