Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification
Must be comfortable working outside in the elements
Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials
Ability to think on your feet in identifying from the pick list where the material is located either in the yard or warehouse
Identifying what needs to be double stacked in the yard versus single stacked
Identify where to double stack the material
Utilize the chart of the North and South yard as a map/guide
Identify where product is located in the yard by utilizing the identifying signs
Guide the truck drivers where they need to go in order to be safely loaded/unloaded
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Must be legally authorization to work in U.S.
Must be able to pass a forklift certification class and test. Must have a minimum of 1 year sit down forklift experience.
Must be able to read a pick list
Must be able to work overtime as necessary, which could include weekends
Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical
Must be able to lift up to 76 lbs. unassisted
Must be willing to operate Track Mobile (Locomotive) and be willing to operate in a rail environment.
