Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ability to safely operate a sit down forklift while maintaining a valid forklift certification

  • Must be comfortable working outside in the elements

  • Communicate with drivers to ensure the accuracy of the load as well as safety requirements for loading/unloading materials

  • Ability to think on your feet in identifying from the pick list where the material is located either in the yard or warehouse

  • Identifying what needs to be double stacked in the yard versus single stacked

  • Identify where to double stack the material

  • Utilize the chart of the North and South yard as a map/guide

  • Identify where product is located in the yard by utilizing the identifying signs

  • Guide the truck drivers where they need to go in order to be safely loaded/unloaded

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Must be legally authorization to work in U.S.

  • Must be able to pass a forklift certification class and test. Must have a minimum of 1 year sit down forklift experience.

  • Must be able to read a pick list

  • Must be able to work overtime as necessary, which could include weekends

  • Must be able to pass a fit for duty Physical

  • Must be able to lift up to 76 lbs. unassisted

  • Must be willing to operate Track Mobile (Locomotive) and be willing to operate in a rail environment.
