Job Description

BAE Systems is looking for a qualified Electrical Engineer to join our team for an exciting opportunity supporting the readiness and sustainment of the United States Air Force Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon systems. The individual must hold an Electrical Engineering degree from an ABET accredited university.

The position is located at Hill AFB, Utah. US citizenship status is required.

The overarching role of the Electrical Engineer II is to work closely with the customer, the United States Air Force (USAF), to apply electrical engineering principles and best practices to optimize Weapon System operational service and performance.

The candidate selected for this Electrical Engineer II position will:

  • Review detailed design and integration of electrical/electronic systems, sub-systems and components

  • Support subsystem and system integration and verification activities, manufacturing and test planning, and failure analysis

  • Support validation and verification activities at component, sub-system, and system test events

  • Conduct Systems Engineering activities including requirements definition and electrical architecture development

  • Research, plan, design, develop, modify, and evaluate electronic and electrical systems

  • Perform complex calculations and develop complex engineering models and representations

  • Prepare engineering drawings

  • Work with stakeholders to ensure products meet cost, schedule, performance and quality requirements

  • Contribute to internal and external technical reviews

  • Use advanced modeling and analysis tools to develop product specifications, models, simulations, technical data packages, and integration and verification procedures

  • Evaluate vendor capabilities, technologies, services and ability to deliver required products or services

  • Recommend design approaches for new or improved products and processes

  • Provide engineering consultation to other technical groups

  • Analyze and interpret design specifications, drawings, documentation, models, and/or test results to ensure technical designs comply with applicable engineering standards, military specifications and product requirements

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field and 2 years relevant experience or Master's degree

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret clearance. The criteria for a security clearance is set by the US Government. You do not need to have an active clearance to be hired.

  • Experience creating, reading, and understanding schematics and technical data sheets drawings

  • Ability to create and manage interface control documents

  • Ability to solve technical problems

  • Ability to operate in cross-functional engineering tasks (electrical, mechanical, systems)

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to convey data, information, and technical results to customers

  • Leadership abilities and interpersonal skills

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
