ManTech Enterprise IT Support Officer (EITSO) – Equipment & Video Installation Technician in Herndon, Virginia
ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Enterprise IT Support Officer (EITSO) – Equipment & Video Installation Technician to join our team in Herndon, VA . In this role, you serve on a Dedicated Support Team of Network Video Installers supporting the StreamIT project. You will install network equipment, video media gateways and associates service modules.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Interface with end customers, providing expert support for classified and unclassified LAN infrastructure, including scripting, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Manage IP network architecture, ensuring compliance with current and future standards for efficient integration and performance.
Perform precise installations, cable terminations, and equipment mounting (e.g., video switch, network, and set-top boxes) to ensure seamless operation.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to video services, leveraging advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Conduct site surveys, ensuring accurate data collection and validation for engineering and VSIT teams, with adherence to sponsor and industry standards.
Local travel will be required between customer buildings.
May have supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA/BS and 9 years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 13 years. 9 years of direct experience installing and troubleshooting video equipment and media gateways on the Sponsors classified and unclassified networks.
Expertise in implementing infrastructure networks, including classified and unclassified LAN environments for the sponsor, with proficiency in scripting, configuration, cutover, and troubleshooting.
Skilled in installing and troubleshooting video and media gateways on both classified and unclassified sponsor networks.
Extensive experience with diverse cabling systems, including 110-type cross connections, RJ45 patch panels, wire wrap terminals, copper cable terminations, DSX Panel T-1 cabling, and fiber terminations.
In-depth knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards, and troubleshooting techniques.
Proficient in interpreting and utilizing cable run lists for efficient network setup and maintenance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with implementation on the Sponsor's new unclassified network LAN infrastructure.
Video installation experience.
Related work experience in IT hardware and cabling installation.
Clearance Requirements:
- Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.
