Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer with experience in troubleshooting and repairing packaging equipment and general manufacturing plant equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical and instrumental background, including Allen Bradley PLC programming and Panel View knowledge. A solid understanding of electrical fundamentals, high-voltage systems, and fabrication and design experience are essential. The role requires expertise in OSHA regulations, lock-out/tag-out procedures, confined space entry, PPE, fall-prevention, and electrical safety.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment and general manufacturing plant equipment.

• Perform general plant mechanical maintenance.

• Program Allen Bradley PLCs and operate Allen Bradley Panel View systems.

• Understand and apply electrical fundamentals and basic theory, including AC and DC circuits and equipment.

• Maintain circuit breakers, motor control centers, transformers, and be familiar with PLCs.

• Work with high-voltage, 3-phase electricity.

• Possess fabrication and design skills.

• Replace motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, and belts as needed.

• Follow OSHA regulations and implement lock-out/tag-out procedures, confined space entry, PPE, fall-prevention, and other safety-related programs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience inside a food processing environment.

• Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues up to 480 V.

• Experience installing new production equipment such as packaging machines.

• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Pay Rate

$26.35+ DOE

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hermiston, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.35 - $26.35/hr.
