Amazon Business Analyst Intern in Heredia, Costa Rica

The Amazon Student Programs Team is looking for ambitious students to join one of our teams as a Business Analyst Intern. The role provides an opportunity to understand Amazon business and processes, enhance analytical skills, and contribute to make significant business impact.

As an intern, you will be matched to a manager and a mentor. In addition to working on an impactful project, you will have the opportunity to engage with Amazonians for both personal and professional development, expand your network, and participate in activities with other interns throughout your internship. No matter the location of your internship, we give you the tools to own your project and learn in a real-world setting.

Interns at Amazon Costa Rica work 6hs a day (30hs/week), for 12 months, non-virtual internship position (between January 2025 and January 2026). Participants will join Amazon as Interns at our San Jose Office in Costa Rica.

Job Responsibilities include:

  • Partner with operational, finance, retail and technical teams across the organization to identify opportunities, support the development of sound business cases and drive measurements of actions to continuously improve on the inputs and ultimately the outputs of the business

  • Learn to work with large volumes and big data, in a highly complex business

  • Learn to work with business intelligence tools, accessing and working with big data from multiple sources, and partnering with the business to identify strategic opportunities and deliver results

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program in finance, accounting, mathematics, engineering, statistics, computer science, business or a similar field with a graduation conferral date between April 2024 and December 2025.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel (pivot tables, vlook up, charts).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using databases with a large-scale data set

  • Fluent written and verbal communication in English

  • Proficient written and verbal communication in Spanish

  • Advanced knowledge and/or experience using SQL
