Job Summary and Qualifications
The Lead CT Technologist/Imaging Services Supervisor is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day operations of the CT departments within Medical Imaging. The Supervisor ensures effective departmental operations in accordance with budgetary guidelines, departmental standards, and all applicable regulatory requirements
What you will do in this role:
Supervise CT departments within Medical Imaging.
Assist in performing imaging procedures in assigned modalities
Oversee the continuation of providing quality patient care while striving to reduce costs of assigned areas.
Maintain a steady workflow through the department.
Oversee the day-to-day staffing schedules and requirements of the department.
Perform CT exams of patients maintaining a high quality of care and complete all functions associated with procedure in a timely manner.
Adhere to all Medical Imaging and Hospital Policies and Procedures
Maintain accurate records, confirm correct patient information.
Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used meds: action, dose, and side effects.
Demonstrate knowledge of proper retrieval and charging of medications commonly used and during emergency situations.
Maintain supplies and inventory—both general and medication related. Observe perpetual inventory of controlled substances, if applicable.
Adhere to all Radiation safety regulations, ACR accreditation requirements, Joint Commission requirements, etc.
Participate and assist department management with ACR accreditation activities and requirements, including quality assurance programs related to the requirements.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiological Technology required.
3 years of post-graduate related experience required.
2 years leadership experience preferred.
Current R.T.(R)(CT) registration through ARRT required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
