To support our mission, Raytheon Australia is currently seeking a motivated Program Technical Manager who is ready to join a diverse, talented, and enthusiastic team of engineering professionals supporting the Collins Class Submarine as part of the Combat System Integrated Product Team (IPT).

Reporting to the IPT Program Manager, the Program Technical Manager will be responsible to manage the integrated product team developing and coordinating the next Combat System variant to be deployed to the Collins Class Submarines as well as resolving short term sustainment issues and risk management for currently deployed Collins Class Combat Systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate, schedule and lead an Integrated Product Team to meet task and technical requirements associated with Combat System product changes.

  • Provide technical leadership to the development of integrated cost and schedule baselines.

  • Support the planning, co-ordination and estimates of program effort, as well as providing status, and remaining effort for overall program.

  • Lead the IPT in assessing, identifying and managing risks, issues and opportunities in accordance with company policies.

  • Engagement with the Subcontractor Manager to provide oversight and coordination for the acceptance of deliverables.

  • Customer engagement and representation to ensure successful delivery of IPT CS, Project and Engineering Services.

  • Primary liaison across IPT/CPT Lead(s) to facilitate communication and execution of the program deliverables.

  • Support for the IPT Program Manager in the execution Cost Account Management (CAM) responsibilities.

  • Key member of the IPT Leadership team.

    Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Requires a University Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Maintenance, Logistics, Business Management or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience and/or equivalency.

  • Minimum of 10 years management/leadership experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders at client, peer, supplier and senior leadership levels.

  • Ability to implement and manage program governance frameworks.

  • Knowledge of project management milestones coupled with the ability to work autonomously or with minimal supervision to ensure delivery of completed work according to scheduled commitments.

  • Available to undertake travel where necessary to meet requirements of the role.
