Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection using hand and automated inspection tools.

  • Must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents.

  • Must be fully competent in using hand inspection tools (ie micrometers, calipers, height gage, universal protractor, etc.)

  • Must be fully competent in using automated inspection tools (i.e. CMM, 2D inspection Machine, etc.)

  • Must be computer literate and can process and collect inspection data

  • Must have a great attention to detail, able to complete tasks under time constraints, be dependable and persistent in completing tasks

  • Must have knowledge of quality principles and be able to perform quality related tasks including planning/completing first articles.

  • Participate in team meetings and effectively

  • Will perform additional tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager.

Qualification Requirements

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a Quality Technician role

  • Knowledge of and experience with hand and automated inspection equipment

  • Computer literate and able to process inspection data in a timely manner

  • One year or more quality experience working in an aerospace, military or related mechanical product facility

  • Experience with supplier self-release programs for aerospace (GE, Rolls Royce etc) preferred

    Education

  • Two-year associate’s in science degree.

  • High School education required, will consider individuals with significant positive experience with quality initiatives without degree
