CLASS SUMMARY:Responsible for performing customer service and clerical work in accordance with general and specific directives in order to maintain all safety, security and compliance standards at the airport.ESSENTIAL DUTIES:This class specification represents only the core areas of responsibilities; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.Processes and controls badges for all airport employees and contractors.Conducts fingerprinting for airport employees and outside agencies.Collects appropriate paperwork for the badging process. Checks validity of identification presented by customers and checks for proper immigration paperwork.Distributes keys to airport employees and contractors.Maintains comprehensive records and filing system.Answers general questions about identification badge procedures.Provides TSA SIDA training to airport employees and contractors.Processes Finance nightly for the day’s transactions.Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED and two years of clerical, and/or customer service experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.LICENSING/CERTIFICATIONS:Maintain Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) clearance. KNOWLEDGE OF:Customer service;Basic security.SKILL IN:Clearly and effectively communicating, both orally and in writing;Use of a variety of computer-based technologies including word processing, and spreadsheets;Establishing and maintaining effective, fair, cooperative, collaborative and respectful relationships with internal and external colleagues, peers, work teams and workgroups;Demonstrated skill in data-entry.Demonstrated typing skill at 40 wpm.ADA AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Positions in this class typically require: standing, walking, fingering, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.
