What’s the job?

As Village Reception Team Leader, you’ll make sure our Colleagues have a wonderful start to their time on Hayman Island. You will be their first point of contact when arriving to island and will ensure they are taken care of during their time on the island. You will be responsible for ensuring accurate record keeping is kept. Guests in-house, room allocations, staff boat manifests and island registers will be overseen by yourself and the team. You will also be responsible for ensuring accurate billing is captured while working alongside our Village Accountant. You will also work alongside the Village Operations Manager to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Village.

Your day-to-day

· Oversee maintenance of accurate and up-to-date personnel files and records for all employees pertaining to rental agreements and other agreements affecting colleagues stay on island

· Work with the Village Operations team to ensure room allocations are suitable for new Colleagues and update Opera and tracking spreadsheets to assist the housekeeping team.

· Keep your knowledge up to date regarding staff and resort related information

· Actively support Hayman culture, showing respect to colleagues, acting professional and promoting staff activities

· Assist where necessary to coordinate daily housekeeping service around the Village area, working with the Housekeeping Manager

· Handle cash and credit transactions. · Start every stay right by swiftly checking guests in and out and issuing and collecting appropriate paperwork and key access.

· Provide daily reports to management and finance regarding Village operations.

· Be a trusted contact for all staff. Help them with anything from room issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary

· Stay safe all the time. Following our safety procedures, you’ll report all incidents and wear any protective gear needed

· Carefully update the Village Property Management System (Opera) and related databases ensuring information is accurate for billing purposes

· Build great relations with outside contacts, Colleagues and Contractors alike

· Take pride in your appearance and place as a brand ambassador

· Jump into other ad-hoc duties when your colleagues need your help

Accountabilities

The Village Reception Team Leader reports into the Village Operations Manager and will assist in their absence as first point of contact for any Village related matters.

What we need from you

· High school diploma / secondary education / equivalent

· 2 years’ related experience in Front Office, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

· Must speak fluent English

· Other languages may be preferred
