Goddard School Lead Toddler Teacher in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York
Job Summary: The Lead Toddler Teacher at The Goddard School in Hastings On Hudson will be responsible for managing the daily operations and curriculum for the toddler classroom. This is a full time, hourly position in the early childhood field within the franchise industry. As a management role, the Lead Toddler Teacher will oversee a team of assistants and floaters and work closely with parents and other staff members to provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for the children. Compensation & Benefits: The compensation for this position is $20 to $21 per hour. Responsibilities: - Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans and activities for toddler-aged children - Provide a safe and nurturing environment for students, following all state licensing regulations and Goddard School policies and procedures - Supervise and mentor assistant teachers, providing guidance and support in their professional development - Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, keeping them informed of their child's progress and addressing any concerns or questions - Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including attendance and progress reports - Collaborate with other staff members to create a cohesive and welcoming school community - Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities as required - Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitation and hygiene practices Requirements: - Minimum of a CDA or an associates in Early Childhood Education or a related field - At least two years of experience working with toddlers in a classroom setting - Knowledge of child development theories and best practices for early childhood education - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with parents and staff members - Ability to create and implement engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans and activities - Familiarity with state licensing regulations and Goddard School policies and procedures - Willingness to undergo a background check and obtain required clearances EEOC Statement: The Goddard School is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
