Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a responsible certified individual to work in the Surgical department as a Central Sterile Supply Technician. Under moderate direction of the Central Services Supervisor, sterilizes and assembles equipment, supplies and tracks procedure trays, according to established procedures. Checks levels and delivers supplies to nursing units. Position may require working at either campus or alternate sites.

Knowledge of sterilization standards and procedures and C.S. related medical terminology preferred. Ability to adequately use, or learn to use, the department's computerized system and its associated devices, good customer service skills required. Ability to share validated skills with others and assist train Tech I colleagues as needed.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full Time - 40 Hours- Rotating/Staggered shifts required. Weekend and holiday rotations. This department runs 24/7.

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Exceptional Patient Care : Must understand we exist for the patients and their care is the number one priority.

  • Excellent Communicator : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member.

  • Strong Educator: Educate patients and family members so that they have a transparent understanding of the care being provided.

  • Technical Familiarity: Understanding in computer-based applications, email, and standard applications such as Microsoft Office.

  • Active Teamwork : Demonstrates problem solving, conflict resolution, and positive communication through teamwork.

Requirements :

  • Education: High school or equivalent.

  • Experience: Two years minimum experience in C.S. or related field required.

  • Licensure: Central Service Certification REQUIRED (CBSPD or CRCST). If certification lapses or is not maintained, the staff member will return to an Instrument Technician I status.
