The Business Analyst position is an exciting opportunity working with external Group Benefits (GB) customers to enable strategic data connections with their Enrollment and HRIS platforms. Working with our external clients, technology platform partners and GB business partners (Operations, Implementation, Sales, Claims, Client Relationship Managers, Product), the Business Analyst role will drive consultative conversations to determine the best data solution option for the Customer. The Business Analyst is responsible for implementing timely, high quality inbound and outbound data connections using Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) and traditional Electronic Data Interface (EDI) File Feeds to support complex client needs. The Business Analyst will use a variety of skills such as relationship building skills, consultation, data driven decision making and project management skills to prioritize work, respond to multiple deadlines, and balance concurrent tasks successfully in a fast-paced environment.

This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Add locations) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).

Responsibilities:

  • Lead complex Leave Management Customer implementations providing consultative support with data exchange options involving API and File Feeds.

  • Coordinate testing with partner teams and provide meaningful, consolidated feedback for the customer and their vendor partners.

  • Co-lead technical implementation calls with Implementation Managers on topics related to data exchange.

  • Ability to craft and manage documentation that supports the effective delivery of technology that meets specific business needs.

  • Responsible for integration configuration and testing activities with Customer and HR Tech platform.

  • Build strong relationships with external clients, external technology platform partners and Implementation Team.

  • Ability to recognize customer data sensitivity and limit use and distribution of protected information to the minimum amount required.

  • Troubleshoot and problem solve file data issues.

  • Partner with Best Practices team to build and maintain strong routines for updating all content.

Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of various data exchange options – File Feeds and API’s.

  • Familiarity or prior experience with HR Tech platforms. Workday or other platform certifications will be preferred.

  • Experience with Group Benefits Products (Leave, Life and Disability).

  • Familiarity with industry product trends including expanded Statutory Absence offerings is preferred.

  • Strong Customer facing consultative skills.

  • Ability to critically analyze data, problem solve, make judgments as to reliability/accuracy of information received.

  • Ability to multi-task while demonstrating the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Requires knowledge of data analysis tools such as SQL and MS Excel including advanced formulas and functions.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$78,640-$117,960
