The Bureau of Driver Licensing is currently seeking a Clerical Assistant 3 to join our team. DESCRIPTION OF WORK Your primary responsibility of this role is to support the integrity of the Driver License and Control (DL&C) data entry systems and provide assistance to Driver License Exam Centers. Your role involves creatively solving problems and managing records in compliance with Pennsylvania vehicle regulations and policies. Extensive knowledge of title 75 of the Pennsylvania vehicle code and PennDOT mainframe is essential to troubleshoot issues and find solutions when standard procedures fail. You will offer guidance to Driver License Center's staff on processing tasks, aiming to be a comprehensive resource for problem-solving.

As part of your role, you will be responsible for analyzing intricate data, decoding vehicle code, and utilizing your system expertise to identify and address system issues. Additionally, you will conduct tests on system modifications, offering suggestions to enhance user experience while ensuring compliance with regulations. Furthermore, you will investigate identified system problems and analyze unusual scenarios by replicating them in a controlled testing environment. Using your knowledge and logical thinking, you will rectify driving records by making necessary adjustments. Lastly, you will provide overall support and assistance to Driver License Centers in Pennsylvania, offering guidance on licensing policies, standards, laws, and processing.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Tuesday - Saturday, with 30-minute lunch. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements: You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements: This position requires the selected candidate to undergo and pass a Fingerprint and Name-Based Criminal History Check prior to employment.
