The Department of State, Health Licensing Section is seeking a dedicated Clerical Assistant 3 with exceptional work ethic. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Clerical Assistant 3, you will be responsible for evaluating and processing applications for licensure, reactivation, continuing education audit, and continuing education programs, as well as license renewals for Boards within the Health Licensing Division. All work must be completed in a timely manner and comply with the established laws, regulations, and policies. You will be required to maintain an extensive working knowledge of licensure requirements for each of the professions assigned and you must have the ability to meet set deadlines. Work includes providing courteous customer service via telephone, preparing accurate and comprehensive correspondence, and determining licensure eligibility while prioritizing workload. You will have the opportunity to correspond with applicants, other state agencies, and licensing boards to secure information pertaining to applicant licensure or disciplinary actions.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, subject to operational needs. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (commonwealth title); or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
