DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Audit Specialist 3, you will analyze all financial reports and records provided by new and existing facilities to ensure fiscal soundness. In this role, you will be responsible for designing auditing methodologies using Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) to ensure sound financial practices of all public and private nursing home care facilities in Pennsylvania. This work will also include conducting research on facility ownership utilizing public and private sources and databases and preparing reports of audit findings with recommended courses of action for executive review.

The position will be assigned a group of nursing home care facilities; however, work may also include those facilities outside of the permanent assignment, as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) full-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Audit Specialist 2; or Three years of professional auditing experience and a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by eighteen [18] credits in accounting and auditing; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which included the required eighteen [18] credits in accounting and auditing.
