The Pennsylvania Department of State is seeking an Administrative Assistant 1 to provide support for the Bureau of Campaign Finance & Lobbying Disclosure. Help us ensure campaign finance and lobbying disclosure reports and registrations are accurate and available to the public! DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will review campaign finance reports and lobbying disclosure reports for accuracy, inconsistencies, and violations of the law. This includes preparing a failed to file list by pulling files and documents from online and conducting research to ensure all registrants on the list should be referred for non-payment. This position also assists customers at the front desk, over the phone, and via email in addition to serving as the bureau's timekeeper and requisitioner. You will have the opportunity to assist the manager with quality assurance testing for internal databases and make recommendations based on results and your good judgment. Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to two days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Such training as may have been gained through graduation from a four year college or university; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training. Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Additional Requirements: You must have at least 1 to 2 years of customer service and de-escalation experience. You must have at least 1 to 2 years of experience using Microsoft Office Suites. You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required): Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment; that includes managing several tasks and projects at the same time Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality Ability to interact professionally with high level internal and external customers
