Kimberly Casey with Robert Half is seeking a Safety Coordinator for a manufacturing client in Harrisburg, OR. The Safety Coordinator role involves ensuring compliance with federal and state safety and environmental laws, in addition to handling relatable aspects of human resources administration and customer service. This position reports directly to the VP of Finance and Administration but works very closely with the HR Manager. This is not a remote/hybrid role, with working hours M-F from 7am-3:30pm or 8am-5pm. Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with federal and state safety and environmental laws in the manufacturing sector

• Assist with safety and environmental audits and inspections

• Conduct safety training sessions for staff and oversee the functioning of the Safety Committee

• Handle aspects of Human Resources (HR) Administration, including resolving HR-related issues and inquiries

• Provide exceptional customer service, addressing and resolving customer inquiries promptly

• Maintain effective communication across all levels of the organization, both in written and verbal form

• Exhibit advanced problem-solving skills and exceptional attention to detail in all tasks

• Collaborate effectively with managers across the organization, demonstrating patience in the process

• Utilize MS Teams, Word, and Excel for various tasks and communications

• Adapt and perform effectively in challenging situations.

Requirements • Demonstrated proficiency in managing Safety Committee operations

• Experience in enforcing Environmental Safety protocols within a manufacturing setting

• Familiarity with Osha Safety regulations and their implementation

• Proven track record in conducting thorough Safety Audits

• Ability to develop and implement Safety Guidelines in line with industry standards

• Expertise in carrying out detailed Safety Inspections

• Experience in devising and delivering effective Safety Training programs

• Proficiency in managing Human Resources (HR) Administration tasks

• Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on addressing employee concerns and queries promptly and professionally.
