Reference #: 5001051148300 Utz Quality Foods is looking to grow our loyal, career driven, and customer focused team and is currently recruiting for Packaging/Processing Utility person to work from our Wilkes-Barre, PA facility. This position will be a part of our NEW Weekend Day crew. The required shift is Saturday-Sunday 6AM-6PM with the opportunity to flex up to 40 hours Monday-Friday. Key Responsibilities Operate equipment to unload trailers of potatoes. Adhere to an unloading schedule. Maintain cleanliness of unloader workspace. Monitor potato bin capacity and functionality. Work with QA to review potato quality prior to unloading. Collect and retain appropriate delivery paperwork. Assist with break and lunch relief in frying and production room. Occasionally participates in sanitation activities in order to maintain, clean and safeguard equipment and facilities used for the packaging and processing of food products. This includes but is not limited to the use of mild to moderate chemicals and spray cleaners, compressed air tools and cloths to hand-wipe equipment. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Requirements: Basic computer skills. Forklift certification will be required. Ability to understand and speak English or Spanish for training purposes. Experience working in food processing facility is preferred. Ability to work in a fast paced environment under constant pressure of production line environment. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
