JOB SUMMARY:
The Technical Writing Apprentice will compile data, create, publish, and maintain technical information related to Jerr-Dan processes and products
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.
Assist in the development, creation and updating of technical informational manuals to be used internally for product approvals by the Jerr-Dan Applications Engineering Team.
Assist in the development, creation and updating of process and procedure documents and/or standard work instructions (SWI) for the Jerr-Dan Engineering Team.
Assist in the creation of technical information as required (time permitting) for Service Bulletin drafts to be presented to the Jerr-Dan Business Team.
Assist in the development, creation and updating of sales and marketing informational as required (time permitting) to support the Jerr-Dan Business Team.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Pursuing a degree in Technical Writing, Communications, or English.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One (1) to Two (2) years of relevant coursework or experience in Technical Writing, Communications, or English.
Experience and proficiency with various productivity software applications including Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams, etc.
Experience with other software packages such as: CorelDraw Suit, Adobe Suit (Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator), CAD or Graphics and Artwork packages.
Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of page/document layout.
Strong mechanical and spatial aptitude
Pay Range:
$15.50 - $16.50
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
