Job Title: Sr Structural Engineer

Job Description

As a Structural Engineer, you will utilize your expertise to design, evaluate, and certify our innovative products and services, ranging from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft and orbital space exploration systems. You will be responsible for examining complex metallic and composite structures and systems, and your technical duties will encompass the design and development of new products and processes throughout their lifecycle.

Hard Skills

• 8-10+ years of structural engineering experience, with a Master's Degree as a potential substitute for years of experience

• Proven aircraft experience with a strong ability to apply analysis skillsets specifically to aircraft

• Proficient in Finite Element Analysis (FEA), with a preference for FEMAP, although Ansys, NASTRAN, and PATRAN are acceptable

• Expertise in classical hand calculations

• Eligibility for US Security Clearance

Soft Skills

• Ability to work effectively in a small team environment

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities

Job Type

This is a contract position with a duration of 5 Month(s). The budget out the work every 6 months, so this position does have potential to be long-term.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Work Environment

You will be part of a very small structural team, collaborating closely with 1-2 other specialists.
