What you’ll do:

"EIIC Engineering functional excellence organization is aligned to CTO’s strategy to drive “One Eaton Engineering Functional Excellence”. Charter of this organization is to simplify & create better work experiences for our Engineers by transforming existing engineering work processes. EIIC functional excellence organization will work with global Engineering Functional Excellence leaders in CTO’s office, Electrical and Industrial Sector businesses.

This organization will be responsible for developing and deploying One Eaton processes across all sectors and businesses across globe.

Senior Engineer - PLM and AI role would primarily be responsible for working on the development of automation projects for PLM(Product Lifecycle Management) process standardization and rationalization efforts. This role will participate in development of standalone software programs and also interface systems with PLM, CAD and ERP applications. This role shall contribute to the exploration / implementation of different data analytics and intelligence solutions with 3DS or integrated ones.

This role would also be involved in EIM(Engineering Information Management) automation projects which are required with process digitalization part of PDLC(Product Development Lifecycle). This role shall ensure the automation in CAD systems and its integration with 3DS platform.

This role will also prepare the Quality checker tools for the automation projects to ensure the First Time Right Quality(FTRQ) of the software deliverables, maintenance of configuration management of developed software programs and applications. "

"1. Responsible for developing the software framework for PLM automation projects

2. Accountable for developing the software programs, code repositories, and ALM of PLM automation tools

3. Responsible for developing the technical and functional architectures for defined software projects

4. Provide complete support for implemented projects as L2 and L3

5. Develop the sustenance model and ticketing mechanism for PLM automation tools

6. Work on agile and waterfall methodologies to plan the sprint deliveries

7. Ensure the software QA process as per Eaton and industrial requirements / standards

8. Engage with Eaton product teams to understand the product portfolio and suggest possible process automations

9. Work closely with IT teams to understand and lead about PLM, dashboarding and executive reporting of PLM processes and standards

10. Responsible to assess the CAD systems and develop the integrated and automated solutions in CAD systems to PLM

11. Responsible to work on complex integration issues of CAD-PLM-ERP(SAP, Oracle and MfgPro)

12. Responsible to work on automated BOM auto generation process from CAD-EBOM-MBOM and ERP BOM.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science /Electronics/Electrical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering

5 - 9 years of experience with good academic records

Skills:

" Required :

1. Knowledge on software requirement capturing and documenting the requirements and its software loops

2. 3DS related language skills like MQL / TCL / EKL and CAA

3. 3DS Netvibes, dashboarding and widget configuration skills

4. Strong knowledge on CAD systems and its scripts skills in CATIA and Creo

5. Strong knowledge on PLM and its integrated application like SAP, Oracle and MfgPro

6. Knowledge of software development methods and processes

7.Basic knowledge on Engineering product design, Quality and manufacturing functions

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical concepts.

9. Strong problem solving and reasoning ability, exhibiting technical innovation and creative solutions.

Desired :

• Academic certification on software programming of C, C++, Python, VB, VBA, .Net, Java and J2E

• Academic project completion of software tools with solid value outcomes

• Good understanding of ALM and incident management tools and portfolio"
